The front fascia of the car distances itself more from its hatchback counterpart(2017 i10 Grand) with the all new cascade designed 6-slat chrome hexagonal grille which merges to the air dam. The signature grille designed by Hyundai resembles with the Elantra which makes the Hyundai Xcent part of the same family. The lower bumper area gets a slim black insert that stretches across the sides of the car encapsulating the boomerang-shaped LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) and the larger fog lights. Air passage around the wheel area is curtailed while driving to increase mileage and for safety purpose which needs a closer look to spot it correctly. The car retains its dimensions at 3,995×1,660×1,520 mm with a ground clearance of 165 mm.

There aren’t many changes from the side but the one change which catches our eye is significant. The car features 15-inch diamond cut dual toned alloy wheels which are a treat for eyes. Also, instead of body colored door handles, they are now covered in chrome. The shoulder lines, plastic moldings along the waistlines is common to the outgoing variant. The electrically operated ORVMs have also been reshaped with the LED blinkers. Like the front, the rear also gets a major update. The taillamps are revisited with a premium 2-piece wraparound split end which is much larger and wider than the outgoing variant. Subtle use of chrome continues throughout the car with the thick bold stripe connecting the taillamps. With the fresh modern taillamps, the car now appears more like a sedan(than the compact sedan look). The rear bumper gets dual tone shade with radium blinkers. Tha car also features a shark fin antenna which is exclusive for its segment.

Hyundai Xcent Facelift Interior

The Hyundai Xcent Facelift Black-Beige interiors give the cabin a roomy feeling. The all new 7.0-inch touchscreen system comes with compatibility for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay which also acts as a screen for the reverse parking camera. Beneath the infotainment system is the controls for automatic climate control. Rear AC vents will ensure proper cooling of the car. The thumb contoured, tiltable steering wheel gets controls for the audio control and telephony also. One of the many features include smart key which enables the owner to get inside the car with the press of a button on the door handle and also the Engine start /stop button which enables control with a touch Ventilated glovebox, small spaces throughout the cabin to store knick knacks, centre armrest integrated with cupholders are some of the additional features the car gets.

2017 Hyundai Xcent Interior with Seat

The entirely submerged beige colored leather upholstery makes interiors plush. Driver’s seat can be adjustable for height also. The front headrests are integrated into the seats while the rear ones are adjustable. The boot gets a luggage lamp which gets activated with the opening of the tailgate, thus locating the luggage with ease. In terms of space, squeezing of the third passenger in the rear would not be comfortable considering the space available. The headroom, legroom, lumbar and back support are average in terms of comfort. Overall, the cushioning is soft and spongy with the well-contoured front and rear seats.
