New Mahindra XUV500 Petrol Launched At Rs 15.49 Lakh in India
Mahindra has recently launched the petrol-powered XUV500. The car is equipped with a 2.2-litre motor which generates a power of 140 hp and 320 Nm of torque. This petrol motor is based on the same engine block which forms the base of the mHawk 2.2-little diesel engine. This petrol variant has a ‘G’ nomenclature in contrast to the ‘W’ which is used in case of diesel range. The car comes with a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The car’s exterior design of the car gives it a daunting and aggressive look. Despite having a new makeover, XUV500 has still retained its body structure apart from the upfront area. The front grille has been outlined with chrome and resembles the one which is visible in Mahindra Scorpio. The headlights of the car have a different composition and have a daytime running LED strip.
The bumper has been restyled and comes with bigger fog-lamps which have been highlighted by chrome fixtures. From the sides, there isn’t much of a difference from the older model apart the chrome underline below the window frame. The car’s back facia has longitudinal headlamps which curve around the edges along the top. It still has a weird looking tailgate because of elongated lines which emerge from chrome panel which is above the license plate.

The interiors of the car have received a number of modifications also. The cabin has a beige and black shades which add an air of sophistication to the car. The equipment on the centre console has been laid out with proficiency but has a bigger multimedia screen. There is a silver treatment on the steering wheel, door panels and dials on the instrument cluster.
Designed keeping in touch with emerging trends in automobile engineering, the car has many clubby holes and storage spaces which are distributed evenly across the cabin. The second-row seats offer the substantial level of comfort with ample knee and head-room. But there is no thigh support. The third row by contrast is spacious enough to accommodate two adults.
When it comes to equipment, XUV500 is equipped with steering mounted controls, 6-way adjustable driving seats, reverse parking camera, adjustable steering wheel, 6-way adjustable driving seat, tilt and telescopically adjustable steering wheel, cruise control and follow-me headlamps. The optimum level of safety, the car has 6 airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and Hill Descent and Hill Control.

The 2.2-litre engine in XUC uses the same motor which Tata uses in Safari and Hexa. In spite of its bulk, the 140 PS/330 Nm is enough to ensure a comfortable run. The car has a 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual. The 18 cm(7’’) color touchscreen infotainment display with Bluetooth audio, USB(audio/video), GPS, handsfree call, picture viewer, iPod connectivity, Android Auto and configurable wallpaper makes it a.
